Imperialism and colonization
The Church
What might happen if the peasantry learns to read? What are the political, economic and social ramifications of a literate peasantry? How might this effect the Church?
If the peasentry learns to read, it may cause a revolt or revolution because the church had been lying to them all this time. This revolution would tear apart the old system and a new system would be built. The peasants would make a new political system similar to todays. Economically, almost everything would be based on money, people would still
trade animals etc. but money be everything. Also everyone would have equal job opportunities. Socially, a big chunk of religion would be lost, because the church lied. The churches power would decrease and no one would have faith in the church. Religion would die down a lot.
